I work intensively from sun up to sun down Monday through Friday. At the end of the week, I close my laptop and put my phone on do-not-disturb until Sunday afternoon. That 36-hour window of decompression resets cognitive baseline and eliminates decision fatigue. Most executive disasters and erratic strategic pivots occur when leaders are chronically exhausted. Quiet decompression produces the perspective necessary to lead clearly on Monday.
